Introduction

Welcome to the DLite User Guide.

DLite is a powerful tiling manager compatible with most web pages and powered with smart features specifically designed for Discord channels.

DLite allows you to bookmark any web page, open it as a popup and save popup layouts you can open with a single click.

Discord channel popups come with hidden sidebars and channel lists, allowing for space optimization and readability.

Installation

Installing DLite is quick and easy:

  1. Visit the official Chrome Web Store page
  2. Click the "Add to Chrome" button
  3. Confirm installation when prompted
  4. Once installed, you can pin DLite in the extension toolbar

Security

DLite requests only the minimum permissions needed:

  • activeTab: Access to the current tab's URL
  • storage: Save bookmarks and layouts locally
  • scripting: Inject Discord optimization scripts
  • Host permissions: discord.com (for Discord features) and api.lemonsqueezy.com (for licensing)

Privacy First: DLite never collects or transmits your personal data. Your security and privacy are our top priorities.

Features

Popups

  • Create popups: Open any HTTPS web page in a popup window
  • Full compatibility: Popups function as normal Chrome tabs
  • Login security: No interference with your login sessions or credentials
  • Universal support: Works with any secure website (HTTPS required)

Discord Smart Features

DLite was originally designed for Discord and includes several optimization features:

Sidebar Hiding

  • Automatically hides the server list
  • Hides the channel list
  • Maximizes the main chat area for better readability
  • Enables compact layouts and side-by-side channel viewing

Read-Only Mode

  • Click the eye icon in the message input area
  • Hides the message input for distraction-free reading
  • Button relocates to bottom-right corner when active
  • Click again to restore messaging functionality

Navigation

  • Use Ctrl+K to search and switch between channels
  • Session protection prevents accidental logouts during UI modifications

Bookmarks

  • Add bookmarks: Click the bookmark button to save any page for quick access
  • Rename bookmarks: Edit bookmark names after creation
  • Organized storage: Bookmarks are stored in a dedicated, collapsible section
  • Quick access: Open individual bookmarks or all at once

Layouts

  • Save current setup: Use the SAVE button to capture:
    • Window positions and sizes
    • URLs of all open DLite popups
    • Custom layout name
  • Minimum requirement: At least 2 extension-created popups needed to save a layout
  • Restore layouts: Use dedicated buttons to recreate saved window arrangements
  • Clean restoration: Opening a layout automatically closes existing DLite popups first
  • Multiple layouts: Save and manage multiple different arrangements

Bookmarks + Layouts Integration

The OPEN button in the bookmarks section opens all bookmarks simultaneously, applying window positions from your oldest saved layout in order.

License Management

To access DLite PRO you need to purchase and activate a license key.

Licensing happens through LemonSqueezy, leader in online SaaS payments.

Purchasing a License

  1. Visit our LemonSqueezy store
  2. Select your preferred option (we offer monthly and 3-month discounted subscriptions)
  3. Complete the checkout process
  4. You will receive the license key via email

Activating License

  1. Open DLite extension
  2. Click the key button in the License section
  3. Enter your license key in the dialog window
  4. Click Activate

Once activated, you will have immediate access to all PRO features.

License Activation Details

  • Each license includes multiple activation slots
  • Deactivating frees up a slot for use on another device
  • License validation happens automatically on startup

Troubleshooting

  • Discord logout issues: DLite automatically prevents Discord logouts - if you experience issues, try reloading the Discord page
  • Layout not saving: Verify you have at least 2 extension-created popups open
  • Popup blocked: Check if browser is blocking popups

  • Chrome (recommended)
  • Chromium-based browsers (Edge, Brave, etc.)

Version Information

  • Current version: 3.0.0
  • Migration: Bookmarks and licenses transfer automatically from previous versions
  • Note: Layouts need to be recreated (improved system in v3.0)
